A Year of Growth and Impact

As we reach the midpoint of the 2024–2025 school year, Colorado Learning Connections (CLC) is proud to celebrate a season of transformation, growth, and strengthened community ties. This year, we expanded our programs, welcomed new expert staff, and extended vital academic support to even more students — regardless of their financial standing or academic challenges. Through innovative approaches like Club Limitless, expanded one-on-one tutoring, and strategic partnerships, we’ve been able to reach students who need us most. None of this would be possible without our incredible team, dedicated partners, and generous donors. As we reflect on our accomplishments so far, we’re excited to share how CLC continues to remove barriers, ignite passion for learning, and empower every student to reach their full potential.

One-on-One Tutoring: Personalized Support that Changes Lives

At the heart of CLC’s impact is our one-on-one tutoring program, designed to meet each student’s unique needs and learning style. Through personalized, data-driven instruction, we empower students to build academic skills, confidence, and resilience. A cornerstone of this effort is the Open Opportunity Scholarship Program (OOSP), which provides 25–100% scholarships to make our services accessible to all families.

So far this year, 110 hours of scholarship tutoring have been delivered across elementary, middle, and high school students. Nearly half of our students served have special education needs, and almost 10% are English as a Second Language learners. By ensuring that economic status or educational challenges do not block access to high-quality support, CLC is helping students overcome barriers and achieve meaningful academic milestones. Our families’ feedback speaks volumes — parents are seeing reading growth, renewed confidence, and an excitement for learning that lasts beyond tutoring sessions.

Club Limitless and Team Summit: Expanding Academic Adventures

Our commitment to personalized learning extends beyond traditional tutoring through Club Limitless: Academic Adventures and Team Summit Student Athlete Support.

Club Limitless has now expanded to four of six elementary schools in the Summit School District, delivering 110 hours of enrichment programming to 64 students. These sessions integrate academic standards with hands-on, project-based learning, creating engaging environments where students practice collaboration, critical thinking, and real-world application of skills.

Meanwhile, our Team Summit program provides 118 hours of academic support to 20 student-athletes. Understanding the balancing act between sports and academics, we ensure that student-athletes receive individualized tutoring support on their off-practice days. Both programs exemplify our mission: building adaptive, inclusive learning spaces where every student can thrive academically and personally, no matter their outside commitments or learning style.

Financial Overview: Stewardship and Sustainability

Financial stewardship remains a top priority as we grow. Mid-year figures show promising trends in revenue and spending: we’ve exceeded revenue projections, mainly due to strong grant funding and individual contributions. Program service revenue reached $74,750, and combined grants and corporate giving totaled $141,450, fueling our ability to offer scholarships, expand programs, and hire specialized staff.

However, challenges remain. Government funding is increasingly uncertain, and building a stronger reserve fund is critical to maintaining stability. We recognize the need to diversify our fundraising efforts — beyond Colorado Gives Day — to include additional annual events and deeper donor engagement strategies. Continued strong financial management will allow us to strengthen our foundation and ensure sustainable support for our students and families for years to come.

Looking Ahead: Next Steps for Growth and Outreach

Looking toward the second half of the school year, CLC is energized by both our successes and the areas identified for growth. Our strategic priorities include diversifying funding sources, forming a fundraising committee, and launching an additional annual event to complement our existing efforts.

Expanding our reach remains vital: we aim to serve students from Breckenridge and Upper Blue Elementary, where current service gaps exist. Enhancing our marketing and community presence, including a dedicated social media strategy, will be key to reaching more families who could benefit from our services. Internally, we’re building stronger donor engagement systems to foster lasting relationships. Each initiative ties back to our fundamental goal: ensuring every student in Summit County has the support and opportunities they deserve.

Gratitude and Commitment to the Future

Every success we celebrate in this mid-year report is thanks to the incredible support of our community: the donors, foundations, partners, parents, and students who believe in our mission. Special thanks to the Sutphen Foundation, Kym’s Angels, and all our supporters whose generosity fuels this important work.

As we move into the second half of the 2024–2025 school year, our commitment remains clear: to provide high-quality, individualized academic support to every student, regardless of their circumstance. With your continued partnership, we are not just helping students reach academic milestones — we are building a future where all students can thrive. Thank you for believing in Colorado Learning Connections. The best is yet to come!
