Reading Specialist
CLASSIFICATION: Contract, exempt
LOCATION: Frisco, CO
SCHEDULE: 3 – 15 hours per week, based on availability
ABOUT THIS POSITION:
The reading specialist is an advocate and educator for young students (primarily grades K-5) and is responsible for developing and delivering customized tutoring plans for students with literacy challenges, including dyslexia. The reading specialist works with CLC, families, and teachers to address each student’s literacy needs using evidence based learning strategies. Candidates should enjoy working with children, be adept communicators both orally and in writing, and thrive in a collaborative community of progressive educators. Compensation depends on experience. Bachelor’s degree and literacy certification(s) are preferred. This posting is primarily for tutoring in Frisco, CO. Flexible daytime, evening and weekend hours available, with greatest need from 3:00 – 7:00 pm on weekdays.

TUTOR
JOB TITLE: Tutor

ABOUT THIS POSITION: Colorado Learning Connections is seeking qualified tutors to join our team. Candidates should enjoy working with children and teenagers, be adept communicators both orally and in writing, and thrive in a collaborative community of progressive educators. Compensation depends on experience and skill set. Bachelor’s degree is required. This posting is primarily for tutoring at our headquarters in Frisco, CO, but we have hours available in Leadville, CO as well. Flexible daytime, evening and weekend hours available. Afterschool availability (3:30 – 6:30pm, Mon-Fri) preferred.
PREFERRED SKILLSETS: CLC hires tutors in all subject areas on a rolling basis. At this time, CLC is specifically seeking tutors with expertise in the following areas
- Upper level math, including algebra 1 and 2, geometry, pre-calculus, calculus, and statistics
- Elementary reading
